Before you travel: checklist

  • Valid work visa / permit for your destination
  • Medical & personal accident insurance cover

  • Emergency contacts saved: family, employer, Kenyan Mission
  • Scans of passport/contract emailed to yourself
  • Pre-departure briefing attended (if applicable)

  3. Tell a trusted colleague/neighbor; avoid unsafe travel.
  4. Document incidents (photos, dates, messages) safely.
  5. If your documents are withheld, inform the mission and authorities.
