Monday, June 16, 2025(NAIROBI)__Diaspora Affairs Principal Secretary, Ms. Roseline K. Njogu,CBS , hosted a delegation led by Mr. Alexander Fierley, Deputy Head of Mission of the Federal Republic of Germany in Nairobi, for discussions aimed at deepening bilateral cooperation between Kenya and Germany.
The primary focus was on advancing the implementation of the Comprehensive Migration and Mobility Partnership Agreement, particularly in the area of labor mobility.
The German delegation highlighted the recent launch of the AHK Mobility Centre, a key initiative designed to promote ethical and structured placement of Kenyan professionals in the German labor market.
The meeting also explored the potential for a strategic partnership between the State Department for Diaspora Affairs (SDDA) and AHK, working through the Diaspora Placement Agency (DPA) to further support and streamline the mobility process.
The discourse extended to expanding opportunities for Kenyans in sectors where they have shown strong capabilities, especially in Hospitality, ICT, and Healthcare.
Mr. Fierley was accompanied by Dr. Monika Erath, Delegate at the Delegation of German Industry and Commerce for Eastern Africa (AHK).
Ms. Irene Karari, Director and Head of the Skills and Expertise Division; Ms. Ann Mruche, Deputy Director-Skills and Expertise; Mr. Ledama Meisashi, FSO; and Mr. Abdilbasid Hassan, FSO were also present in the meeting. #Collaboration #KenyaGermanyTies
