Friday, June 13, 2025(ELDORET)__The State Department for Diaspora Affairs, in collaboration with Books for Africa and the State Department for Public Health and Professional Standards, has delivered an additional 20,000 books to the Kenya Medical Training College (KMTC) Eldoret Campus as part of a whole-of-government initiative.
This donation exemplifies the impactful results of diaspora-linked partnerships and philanthropy, directly supporting the Health Pillar of the Bottom-Up Economic Transformation Agenda (BETA), which focuses on improving access to quality healthcare and enhancing the training and capacity of health workers.
The transfer of knowledge and skills from the diaspora, especially in critical sectors of the economy like health, remains essential to Kenya’s development. The State Department is expanding similar initiatives across other training institutions and sectors, underscoring the government’s commitment to empowering Kenyan youth through education, skills development, and employment opportunities.
