EXPANDING AFFORDABLE HOUSING OPPORTUNITIES FOR KENYANS IN THE DIASPORA

Diaspora Affairs Principal Secretary, Ms. Roseline K Njogu,CBS, held a consultative meeting with Housing and Urban Dev't, Principal Secretary, Mr. Charles Hinga to discuss the Affordable Housing Program tailored for Kenyans living abroad.

The discussions centered on strategies to extend the @BomaYangu_Kenya initiative to the diaspora community, who have shown strong interest in investing in homes back in Kenya through the program.

The Affordable Housing Program (AHP) is a Government initiative aimed at providing decent and affordable housing to Kenyans.  To facilitate diaspora participation, a dedicated information portal has been launched: https://www.bomayangu.go.ke/participants/diaspora-home-applicants .

The meeting was attended by Mr. Jeremiah Simu, Chair of the Affordable Housing Program Board, and Mr. Glenns Etyang, Deputy Director/OPS at SDDA. #BomaYangu #AffordableHousing
