Thursday, September 18, 2025(NAIROBI)__Ambassador Isaiya Kabira, Secretary for Diaspora, Investment, Skills, and Entrepreneurship, represented Principal Secretary Roseline K. Njogu at the annual pre-departure seminar for  close to 150 Kenyan English Language Assistants bound for France.

The event was hosted by the French Ambassador to Kenya, H.E. Arnaud Suquet.

Ambassador Kabira addressed the participants of the Teaching Assistant Program in France (TAPIF), which offers a 7-9 month opportunity to teach English in French schools and immerse themselves in the culture.

He urged them to be exemplary ambassadors, representing Kenya with professionalism and pride.

Balozi Kabira encouraged the language assistants to embrace the experience as both a privilege and a responsibility—to learn from their French hosts, share Kenyan culture openly, and return home enriched with new skills to benefit their communities and the nation.

He was accompanied by Ms. Irene Karari, Director and in-charge of the Skills and Expertise Division.
